Free OpenAir Classic Concert @ Kinnikswiss –
Sat 06.07.19
This weekend has a real treat in store for you at the Kinnikswiss where the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra (OPL) accompanies Sir Bryn Terfel the «Prince of Wales of the opera stage». Set within the idyllic park of the ‘Kings’s lawn’, the concert has a magic feel to it. Once the concert gets going around 9pm it attracts huge crowds so it is worth arriving 20min earlier to find a really good spot.
On the programme are masterpieces from Verdi to Wagner performed by the Welsh bass-baritone opera and concert singer. But it is really the setup of the world-class music, the beauty and tranquility of the park and the soft colour tones of the setting sun that creates a unique but memorable occasion. It’s a great occasion to experience classical music with your friends over a class of wine in the evening sun.
Fox Recommends:
Bring a chilled bottle of wine with you and why not have a drink while you listen to Sir Terfel given it away.
Where: Kinnikswiss (next to Glacis, right in the heart of the city)
