Luxembourg Light Festival 2017

The Luxembourg Light Festival is part of the “Winterlights” event programme presented by the City of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO). Its 3rd edition takes places from Fri 15th to Sun 17th December 2017 in the city centre.

For the first time since the festival’s debut, a variety of artists will be exposing their light artworks along a set itinerary along the various sights of the city. From 6 to 11 p.m. the audio-visual installations, video projections and interactive light shows can be discovered for free as the visitors journey across the city centre.

The 2017 edition of the Luxembourg Light Festival sets its focus on diversity and accessibility and is open to people of every age and origin.

The Christmas magic in Luxembourg city is the pleasure of iceskating on Place Guillaume II, savouring mulled wine, waffles and “Gromperekichelcher” – potato patties – on the market of Place d’Armes or the Place de la Constitution.  Add to that the magic of the Light Festival set at the numerous light and sound in the old city centre and this promises to be a top event.
