StrongmanRun Luxembourg 2015

 
For the Fisherman’s Friend StrongmanRun Luxembourg, polo shirts and running trousers are left at home and exchanged for knight’s armour, Viking or Superman costumes as well as many other wacky outfits. This combination of sporty ambition and good craziness creates a unique atmosphere that makes up the core of the run and turns one of the most challenging running events into a wildly fun festival. This is a great spectacle and hugely entertaining to watch for clean city-loving office workers such as yourself or in fact the whole family!

Although the run takes place in Differdange (south Luxembourg) it is really easy to get there. Just hop onto one of the frequent trains from Gare central in Luxembourg city (direction Esch/Belval) for a quick ride of about 20-25min to the Differdange train station. The Stronman is directly next to it.

In the ‘Wäschmaschin’
For this year more than 4,000 runners are expected to cover an 11 km track twice with 15 obstacles, such as ‘Electric avenue’, the ‘Wild Slide’ and of course the ‘Wäschmaschin’ (Lux. for washing machine) making their life more difficult. Additionally the contenders have to negotiate cold water holes, a few ascents with steep drops and deep mud pits – what’s not to like?! Obviously, it has achieved cult status.
